I make regular trips 2-3 times a month to north bay area to visit my Mom now. Gives me more practice with the clutch that seems a bit of a bear trap for me.

I want to do pss10's but I scrap the back of the car ever so often with it on the 'stilts' height.

I have a small 'dream' project where I remove the spare tire and stock inflation kit with slime, high power Noco lithium jumper and compact air compressor that are foam packed in a box shape clam that fits the lower frunk perfectly supporting the upper frunk area cover.

Got the P-Traps from Ruf installed their check valves don't fit and I needed to get a few extra parts from Turbo Craft in Arizona (not installed yet). Had the front dif oil changed since a few years ago I had the tranny oil changed and it was filthy - according to Black Stone. I believe I had the oil filter with part number ending in 3 and I have had no ill effects.

Analog boost gauge installed and is a highly significant performance upgrade.

I had the car pop out of first gear today which maybe has to do with the reverse to 1st gear change. A bit jarring and cringeworthy when you are accelerating moderately and get a big thump.

Desperately need a good detail/paint correction. I've been slacking in that department. I did use some leatherique conditioner (you begin with conditioner after removing any particles) then their cleaner and it did wonders to the black leather.

Wouldn't mind getting a set of E88's with sticky tires.

Did you do the clock to WSM manual boost conversion? Jürgen is great.

Both quad and I had our display light on the bottom of the tach go out after the manual boost install. Before we tear into steering wheel and stalk, is your light working and so it is a coincidence for us? If so, need to look into a LED solution for that light.

Have E88s BTW and love it. Used pricing is high. I would spend the extra and get new from Gert. They keep the value and prevent you from having to rebuild; not hard but definitely a winter project and requires a 2nd set of wheels..

Chao, maybe a common ground source was altered in the gauge conversion some how? How's the gauge otherwise?

Yes. I did the WSM. The original digital still works (I think) but yes the info reader is very dim. There is a write up on fixing that with a little 25 cent resistor that causes the failure and some soldering. Would the wsm mess up the digital one? Having the analog wsm is cool now I can see vacuum too.

I have no idea how Bob or it may have been Dan at RMG in Sunnyvale did it. I meant to ask but it seemed to be no problem. We discussed a bunch of other stuff.

Quad ran the hose through the transmission tunnel access hole behind the parking brake along the center consol and then up the dash. You have to dremel a hole for access just below the clock gauge housing in the dash. It was the easiest and took about 1.5 hrs..

Gauge is probably the best coolest/mod hands down for our analogue turbo car.

Would love to find that thread on resistor soldering. Did RMG solder the resistor for you?

Don't even care about the digital boost gauge reading now. Have it switched to temp.

The analog is great because if for some reason you wanted to get a more accurate perspective of the how rapidly vacuum and boost (change) build up it is very good.

Yep, still driving mine as much as possible as well. Just passed Cali smog and it's numbers are damn close to the wife's stock 997S cab. It only has about 4K miles on the refreshed engine but not bad considering 100 cells, RS CAMs, 16/16g, ECU & EBC...my only regret these past 2 years is pulling it off of the track...because of the skyrocket I bought a track day project car....but miss using the 993tt there...one day it'll return...maybe. Overboost's video sure makes it tempting.

Cheers to all the drivers...a dying breed of 993tt for sure.
