Can someone tell what kind of ECU I have, one or two chip version and is it reprogrammable?
In original Bosch sticker reads 993.618.601.01
and
in additional white sticker says 993.618.682.82 (this might be 430hp option)
Thanks

Default 993tt #s for Bosch ECU

Guys,

In addition to your 993.618....numbers, there is also a number written
under where it says BOSCH. My old one (1997) says 261-204-377

this is what Steve @ Rennsport is talking about!

This ECU is located in a quite hard place. I just tried to take a good picture but it isn't easy..
picture from my ECU
Those numbers below BOSCH text has worn too much.
But can someone say from these data that is it two chip version?
And what is the easiest way to remove that Motronic box from under the driver's seat?

You can work it out without removing the seat, but it's easier to take out the driver's seat.

Js:

The only sure way to know what you have is to remove the ECU from the car and pull the cover to see if you have the 2-chip version or the single-chip one.

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have pictures of the insides of both the 1-Chip Flashable and the 2-Chip Non-Flashable?
