Default re alignment for pss9's

I am going to put the pss9's on myself and will get a rough alignment with the tools I have, in any event, what are the most desirable street alignment settings for a 993tt with pss9's? I used to run -.5f -1.4r on my 996 to give you an idea of how I like it! I want max handling but with pretty even tire wear. Thanks. in advance. What about toe? I set my 996 up with 0.05 front for turn in stock rear. Thanks. much.

Unforatunely, it impossible to satisfy both criteria at the same time.

well you know what I mean. I mean an overlap ala my 996 settings. Those were pretty agressive but gave even tire wear-come one help me out!

Sean,

I have my car at -1° front and -1° 30' rear. I have no uneven wear on the tires and the car handles beautifully. Just a tad of manageable understeer and a bit of *on demand* oversteer.

wow I didn't know you had that much negative camber front. I know with a 996 if you go over -.7 it eats them pretty quick. I will duplicate your settings. Thanks. Viken!

Sean,

It would be the same with the 993 if you were just a cruiser.

uh, now you're confusing me. Are you saying that I should prob. run -.5f because of the way I drive (hard) or that I can run -1f because I drive hard, but that if I just cruized the car around then it would promote accelerated tire wear? sorry for the confusion but better safe than sorry

Also another q. Are those new pilow sport sp2's or whatever out yet? I have a brand new set of so3's on new 01 hollow spokes that are slated to go on the 993tt, but cec put the wrong tire size on the rears 265 instead of 295's why, I don't know, but unfortunately they were bought about a year ago so I bet I am screwed. In any event I was thinking about just selling them and getting better tires as the so3's are supposedly heavy, not as bad as conti's but....

I personally enjoy the -2.3 front and -2.5 rear (it is hard to break loose with those 315s back there). Throw in a 1/16' toe in for the front and you have a very nice daily driver and reasonable track car...

LOL! I am sure you drive just as hard or a bit harder than I do. So, go ahead and dial-in some negative camber and monitor the wear as you drive. The inner tread is not going to disappear overnight.

The new PS2 is not available in your sizes yet. However, there are the Pilot Sport Rib and the Bridgestone S-02A which are great for the 993. I'd throw away the S-03PP.

yeah I am thinking that for sure concerning the so3's. I got them because I had them back on my old c43 amg and I liked them ok but that was before my 996 and the pirelli p zero yellow stickiness.

In any event I was Ian's friend at buttonwillow that killed my brakes and drove the hell out of my black 996. Given that fun I don't want to go overkill with the alignment, and I don't really want to have to screw with resetting it more than a set of tires or whatever. If you think that I can get away with the -1f like the rsr settings then screw it I will go for it. I haven't heard of the pilot ribbed. I thought about cups but I don't want to shell out cash that often. I really really liked the p zero yellows. Are the aforementioned better than those dry? thanks.

Then, why not go back to the PZero Asimmetrico? As to the Pilot Sport Rib, here they are:
