Oil Drain Plug on Oil Filter Console (tank)...size?
Hello gents. I want to install magnetic oil drain plugs. I know it's probably more for me than car anyway since they may not trap much...but eh why not, can't hurt anything.
I'm looking for the size of the Oil Drain Plug on Oil Filter Console part number 99320725802.
The one on the crankcase (part # 944-107-197-01) is 20x1.5mm. I need that dimension for the one on the tank.
They both take the same crush washer so they are "probably" the same size????
But I can't get that dimensional measurement anywhere for the tank plug.
.....And why is the tank plug visually longer?
I tried for one hour to research this but found nothing. Any help?
Thanks
Joe

The one on the tank is longer and has an O ring on the end - its inserted into the oil thermostat. No replace that with a standard plug I believe.
Put on on the crank drain and do oil analysis on each change and you should be good. That is what I do.
Cheers,
Mike
