I like the color combo, and if it was in great condition and one could trust the mods...
any thoughts?
wonder what the reserve price is.

is this car too modified to get used?
it has:
- coilovers
- modified ECU and boost controller
- 5 bar FPR
- mufflers (?)
- RSCS clutch and flywheel (?)
- Pod filter
- Techart steering wheel.
Definitely NOT too modified to use as a daily driver.
Most of us would consider these the bare essentials
The "Mass Flow Sensor W/Reistor Pack Conversion" &
"Boost Control Unit-Profec-B" are outside the established normal modification path.
I would be asking for more details on these items.
Also, enquire as to what brand of computer reflash, or who did the reflash tuning.

midwest
Q is right on with his input. They do not mention if the turbochargers are stock K16's or others. 500hp has to be done right or it could be a time bomb. Beautiful looking car with a reasonable price if the story is right.

The ECU sounds like the Protomotive setup. Todd has a like resistor pack that gets added to the MAF to cut the signal down a touch to the ECU, plus the Greddy Profec unit is the one that he sells (the B model is the older one and the E-01 is the newest). There is also Prototech(?) in NJ which is a distributor for Protomotive.

aaaaah, It all makes sense now.
When I had the Xede programmable management fitted to my car, they modified the Xede to accept up to 12v input from the MAF.
I assumed the factory computer reflashed could read the 5v +
.....obviously not.

put the car on a dyno 2wd or 4wd.
have them do a power run.
They can log the air / fuel ratio.
This will give you an indication as to whether it is a ticking bomb or not.

here is my dyno sheet showing the stock setup
the a/f ratio has been plotted on the sheet as well. [ dotted lines ]
You will notice Porsche run the 993 very rich at high RPM [read right hand scale] 10.5:1
It steals some HP, but keeps the valves wet & cool.
Dodgy tuners lean them out to gain a few extra HP easily.

Yes, ignore the HP numbers...
Australian DYNO DYNAMICS dynos read very low when compared to DYNO JET dynos.
25- 30% drivetrain loss is normal for this brand of dyno.
