The racing club I run got some exclusive news on the new V710 race tire. I thought I'd share it with my fellow rennlisters:

Sizes are limited but the turbo cars should be able to make something fit. Does a 275 fit on the front of a 993TT?

Given some glue, a grinder and a big enough hammer, you could fit a Hyundai in the wheel well.
Don't know if a 275 will fit. What is the overall diameter of the tire? Will have to go on al least a 9' to 9'1/2 rim on the low side. 10" would probably be optimal. I have not heard of anyone running 10s on the front. Now if it was a Viper, you can fit 13s on with the factory setup...

205/50R15
265/45R16
275/40R17
295/40R17
315/35R17
335/35R17
315/35R18
315's on the rear would be nice ... that's one spicy meat-ball!
... but no 18's for the front ...
I guess those sizes make sense, but I wish they'd done a 245/18 on the front.

My club actually has quite a bit of pull with Kumho in Korea. We have a personal working relationship with the R&D engineer in charge of the race tire program. He takes our feedback quite seriously. The folks at Kumho have asked us to collect information on what tire sizes would be in most demand. Once we start the thread on the VCMC forum, I can let you guys know to add in your sizes if you'd like?

I forgot to add, if you search the VCMC forum, there is some technical info on the difference between the V70 and the V700. I have never seen that info anywhere before, but the R&D engineer in charge of the race program flew to Vancouver to do a technical session at our Kumho Super Challenge event. It was fascinating, he talked about camber requirements, durability, pressures, etc, etc.
