Default What are these exhaust tips/exhaust

I don't have any from underneath but would take them at some point. Curious if anyone can tell based on tips. I know the PO could have just changed the tips but it's never sounded stock so I figured it had to be more. I've had it for a while now and finally figuring out what

Thanks for any help,
Bryan

didn't think there was a difference between regular turbos and turbo s exhaust except the tips but I'm sure others will chime in.

Weird, I just put up both sets for sale, I dug out of garage, there Identical & look like there both made by same manufacturer, but you have to cut & fab for sure, I had a set on a 96 993tt a while back, they look great IMO.

I think a large oval tip with a thin edge looks much better than those wimpy looking little pipes - they do not have the bulk needed to match the rear of this car.

Default Thanks!!

Guys, thanks for all the help. I do think they are "S" tips as well after looking into it some more.

I took some photos of the exhaust from underneath, albeit very low to the ground so they are not the best angle but does this look aftermarket or stock..?

Thanks again in advance for any additional help!!

Cheers,
Bryan

Bryan it pretty much looks stock from those photos. Can't tell if your cans were opened up and worked on from the pics. Where's your tranny under tray?

Based on your photo above mine looks very different on the lower pipes that go to outside.

The lower tray covers I have but never run them. I don't drive the car that fast and I like the cooling help that it provides to let things air out. I have all the panels, just the rear two are removed.

That pic is of a NA car, not a Turbo. Just wanted to show you which panel I was referring to.
The engine panel you can throw away, I'd use the tranny cover for protection. There's a scoop that lets air in for cooling. Help keep road grime off of your CV boots

As was said before, the main system (from the Turbo to the mufflers) looks stock. The mufflers look stock but that does not mean they are - you cannot tell if they have been modded without either a careful inspection of the welds, or they are significantly lighter, or they sound non-stock. Some after market manufacturers stamp the mufflers, but you need to drop them out to see, unless you happen to see their markings from under the car. You do not show the plumbing from the tips to the mufflers so it can be be stock mufflers or modified with S tips.

Cheers,

Mike

Thanks! When I replace my boost pipes with S Car Go pipes I'm sure I will have much more visibility and can check further then if there are any stamping of any kind.
