I'm interested in the GR but not the SSK at the moment (I know it must seem weird).

Does the GR eliminate this fail prone bushing that seems to crumble after awhile?

No, the GR connects the shifter fork to the shifter shaft on nose of trans. The cups are both on the forward rod.

Great thank you. This is the sort easy preemptive fix that can prevent an unfortunate stuck on the side of road fiasco.
