Thanks Spartan, that's what I was looking for. Kevin suggested tapping differential side cover, over using drain port. He advised the possibility of it getting ripped off at some point was to high. Can you say what depth the fittings are the drain port? I'd like to have an idea of how low it does protrude. Would rather use existing ports as opposed to drilling cover. Thanks again for any help.
Don't tap the side of the case. I drilled and tapped out the center of the drain plug and put a 90 deg fitting in there so it doesn't hang low at all. It can't get hung up as its not the lowest part and its also covered under the transmission floor cover. I did tap under the diff for the thermostat switch and above the diff for the return of the cooled fluid. Remember the diff is the hottest part in the transmission.
Use the tilton pump and put an inline screen filter to catch the particles and you can put a magnet on the outside of the filter housing. I'll be with the car this weekend and could snap a couple pictures of it for you.
