Whats it worth?

Interesting posts....I have a black black with hardbacks, pss10 and Ruf wheels - 231xx miles otherwise bone stock (and perfect) - and I was typing my opinion of $ 100K US then I said to myself - hell I wouldn't sell it for that...so I guess my point is if a guy needs the dough that is one thing, but the rarity and joy these cars bring, these prices being 100 or 110K maybe up to $120 (maybe) won't push a guy who loves his car into selling it....in my opinion anyway. Just like waterfront...not making anymore.

Have you guys looked at what is currently available (Autotrader and Ebay for example)? I used to see at least some cars that looked decent in the 60s. Comparing asking prices now to asking prices 5 years ago makes me think the market might be up 50% over that period. That wouldn't be that surprising considering how many other things are 50% more expensive now than 5 years ago.

Check out this one on eBay with 16,000 miles:
And here is another with higher miles:

thanks folks.
In lue of the flood of PM's,
The owner is a dear friend who is not interested in selling the car but did offer it to me personally.
I may just take it but I wanted to know what a fair offer would be.

What's his name and number? Might be a good friend of mine...

Sounds like a line is forming around the corner. Supply is diminishing between accidents and exports and demand is ever rising for what has or will become an iconic car.

Let your soon to be former friend know that you asked the experts on rennlist and that, unfortunately, the car is probably only worth about 50,000 now given its age.

The entire collector car market is in a bit of a frenzy. Check out the Hagerty Insurance valuation charts for the 930s, claiming 30-40% appreciation in the last quarter of 2013. http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtool...ort?vc=1276191
They don't show anything like that for the 964 turbos, and the 993 is too new, but I have to think the increase is roughly commensurate.
