I am looking forward to seeing your finished project. Are you keeping the 'S' side intakes?

I'd keep the "s" intakes , they are cool.

The intakes aren't going anywhere! Will be removing the paint in the areas that had work done (including the s ducts) to make sure they were done right, then off to paint. Only 2 exterior items that are going will be the gemballa skirts and the washer nozzles. Decided to keep the sunroof, and look forward to having all the seals redone. The existing seals were not oem and looked pretty funny up close.... Now the interior...

Default Interior Help

As i start heading down this $$$ slope, my options for the cosmetic update keep expanding. I starting with wanting 993 sport seats, now I've moved on to redoing the carpet, and recovering the interior in new leather. The carbon dash looks awesome and all of the RUF bits are staying (maybe a steering wheel recover)

My question is what to do with the interior colors? I really like the navy blue seats and leather, but that blue carpet is faded and this wasn't a full leather car to begin with.

As i look more into it, changing the colors really won't be a logistical issue since the rs door panels are already black and everything is getting recovered in new leather.

But will it affect the collectibility as much as a changing the paint color? Id love to have black carpets, white seat backs and ??? (black/blue/red) leather.

am i crazy? have i lost it?

I'd vote red leather.

I did not intend to step on toes. I was only questioning your intent on originality. I love your new car and the removal of the side skirts will make all the difference.

If my budget allowed, I would have moved on this car myself. I also most admit that I preferred the S tail (but who cares about my opinion).

You have a beatiful turbo with a RUF edge and I am most envious of your new girl.

Congrats on your new beautiful addition….

I don't think you've lost it at all... If it were me, I'd definitely be planning an interior re-trim in full leather; otherwise every time you get in it, you'll still be entering a C4S. Regarding the color, I had the midnight blue interior in my last C4S - wasn't sure if I'd get used to it & ended up loving it (other than it wasn't full leather).

If you're going to the extent that you are on the exterior, this must be a keeper so go for it inside too.

Looking forward to watching your progress.

As far as seats are concerned, and depending on the color you pick, you could also go with the RUF sports seats which are fantastic IMHO … For me the choice was easy as my car did not have the OEM sports seats so I went straight for the RUF ones.

Love everything else you're planning for the car.

There was an ad in Panoarma a while ago with someone selling a complete 993 black interior.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I was waiting to update the thread with pics from the body shop but I don't have any yet. I decided (for now) that I'm going to re-do the interior in black. As much as I love red, I just can't get comfortable with how extreme of a change it would really be.

Now the seats... I've looked online at the RUF seats everyone is talking about and I personally prefer the 993 (painted) HB sport seats. BUT I haven't seen them or sat in the RUF's yet. From what I've been able to gather, the HBacks may not be as supportive or add to "RUF" factor but those HB seats just seem right to me for some reason. I have a few leads but $ wise will probably end up costing more than a new set of RUF seats, so I'm holding off on that decision until I'm sure of what I want to do.

Thanks again for all of the kind words, and I'll be back soon with pictures!
