RUF Turbo R... A Proper Introduction

Ruf seats are far more supportive than the HB seats. In fact, they do not fit a very large person at all. The Ruf seats are manufactured by Koenig, and a very similar seat (K5000 I think) is available from them for about half of the price of the genuine Ruf seats. If we do a Ruf get-together on the central coast, we can get four 993-based Rufs from Norcal to join, and you can try out my Koenig seats.

That's awesome that you got cracking in such a short time. I like your style! It's about time those skirts came off. It's such a great car and it's going to come out great.

UPDATE:
Lucky me All the previous body work was done by amateurs. The shaved gutters and turbo s ducts weren't done right with overlapping welds that weren't even welded all the way. The gaps could potentially trap moisture and we all know that moisture and metal are a BAD combo! Luckily the work wasn't done too long ago and the car was well taken care of since the work, so no real damage besides doing them right this around. Next step is to have all problem areas cut, overlapping metal removed, and then butt welded correctly before doing anything else. This was a no brainer but I'm still not excited about the additional costs even though I knew there was a high probability of this happening. For now, the interior is on hold and I may just cover the center console, upper and lower dash in navy leather and leave the rest. I'll worry about all that after I know exactly what I've gotten myself into. For now, some pics of the problem areas and progress...

Ouch... Sorry to hear that the mods were hacked into place, though as you've already stated this 993tt is a keeper so you'll at least be safe in the knowledge that everything was done right this time around.
You're probably going to find the same issue once the paint around the hip vents is stripped.
Good luck moving forward!

You are correct sir, the pictures were from earlier in the week. Everything is getting fixed up right... I'm not so worried about the extra $ in the long run, but I want her back sooner than later!

Ouch, not fun, but glad you are taking care of those issues.
You may want to delete the hip vents while you're at it. They weren't really part of Ruf Turbo R conversion. I kinda like the smooth fenders too.

I agree, with the holes/vents in the side of the Ruf bumpers, the turbo S ducts are just a bit too much. Just my 2 cents. Love the progress you're making
