OT:What do you guys think of Wimbledon Green as a color?
Ive only seen pics of this color, but never in person. do you think it is a metallic that will look good over time? Im very partial to silver, but there is something cool about this. Is it good from a maintance standpoint as well as not showing every stonechip?
just curious, im thinking of other colors (besides silver) that would work for me if i upgrade to a TT.

Is that the teal-like green like this car on ebay?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2423341525
There was an article in Excellence some time ago that profiled a TT-S in this color...looked very nice IMHO.

dave,
thanks for the link, yes that is the color. looks sort of cool. Too bad, the interior is tan (an odd choice w/this exterior).
any chance you would happen to have that excellence article? - i never saw it.

unfortunately I do not have my magazines with me...to be honest it may have been an article in 911 & Porsche World. But it was definitely that same color and a TT...issue was not in the last 12 mos.
the pictures on ebay is not as flattering as the ones in the magazines.

Wimbledon green with nephrite interior=cool! Or not....that ebay car is ocean jade. I bet you will not find a another wimbledon green or ocean jade one for a long long time. Polar silver is a very popular colour on 993 TTs, which may give a slightly different slant to the usual silver you're partial to?

Ocean Jade? Hmmm... Looks pretty much like Wimbledon to me, although the pictures on the Ebay listing aren't that great. Some better pictures of the color (albeit not on a 993, but rather a 968) can be found at: http://www.wolflink.net/~jstorey/porsche/
A particularly good shot is:

In the right light, I think the color is stunning, and having seen it in person, it's definitely a color that looks better in real life than in pictures.
Definitely unusual, but not for everyone.

Wimbledon green
I certainly agree it looks better w/ gray than the tans. You can view my wife's boxster on my p-page below. I think it looks much better than the Jade. OBTW - Bill Jackson in Denver had an "S" W-Green with the nephrite interior with 35 miles- gorgeous, but not for sale - Best regards - Bruce
