Wow, that yellow car got very strong money. I spent a couple of hours Friday watching the Russo and Steele auction and it didn't seem like anyone was in the mood to spend any money. The seller should be very happy with those results.

Almost a $50K selling price difference and both cars have very similar miles.

There must be some history behind the AR $61K is a great deal in today's market.

"cannot be registered in the state of California."

Based on the tips, I'd say it has an exhaust on it. I'd imagined that that drove people away, given the limited diligence possible.

I saw several cars cross the auction block that were listed as "cannot be registered in the state of California". It seemed to kill the bidding on every car that had that listed. I have no idea why anyone would ship a car to Ca for an auction that cannot be registered there.

^^^ That actually seems inline if not good for today's TTS pricing.

It's all a bit crazy but in relation to where the market is, some buyer is very happy today.

Cannot be registered in CA because there was not a current CA smog certificate.

What was the mileage on the TTS? Doesn't appear to be listed anywhere in the Mecum ad.

Cobra man, the car has a clean ppi from Redline motor sports as instructed by Richard Sloan- who wants the car on consignment. Yes, there is a disgusting aftermarket sound system which is being removed as we speak. Thanks for the kind words
