Default Cam chain box cover gasket replacement with engine in car

Is it possible to replace the cam chain box gaskets with the engine in the car on a 993 Turbo?

Yes this job can be done with engine in situ, I did mine.

Most of the backend will have to come off though, including the engine carrier, AC bracket/scavenge oil pump and turbo oil return lines + loads of other stuff.

Thanks, Mike. That is indeed a whole lot of things that need to come off! Looks like an interesting project.

have done with engine in, and dropping the engine.
I would drop engine to do it now.
You have to remove the A/C stand, so better drop in my opinion if you have the choice
