I wish these cars were advertised by the private owner before they end up at random brokers for silly money.

Anyway, just look at it -- unmodified ride height stock suspension, sheep-skin seat covers, decorative shifter and matching factory steering wheel. Clearly a track car.

I disagree with parts of this.

Silly money? Not really <16,000 miles and <$90K.....that's the market I see. For a dealership price almost seems on the low end.

Most cars with this mileage, have a stock suspension. Yes, it needs to be replaced.

The "decorative shifter" is a factory OEM part. Not sure of your point there.

But how do you get to "clearly a track car" so quickly? Maybe you are right but I can't get from point A to point Z that fast.

EASY.....A track car would have a front spray to present like this........way to tell 99.999999% of the time.

I think this said it has a hood spray? I think, so does that mean bumper too? And why? How many 15k cars have you had that needed paint?

But again remember tracking isn't necessarily a bad thing really.

Ad appears to be a private seller.

If this was a dealer, this would certainly be priced in the 99-109k range, and even at that, it still doesn't seem all that silly.

But on the flip, the silliness is when "buyers" come knocking and offer 55-65k...

Hey Joe, like I said above your post maybe Carrera GT is right and you are too. I don't know enough either way.

How many 15K cars need paint? For an **** Porsche owner, with a few stone chips or parking scuffs, I could see repainting the hood and bumper. Maybe they wanted to make the car more perfect for the sale.

I suspect this is a consignment, but don't know. In any case, I have seen plenty of cases here on Rennlist where cars are discussed that are for sale by private parties and people on the forum say the car is asking too much. Then the car gets bought by a dealer and relisted at 15k more than the price that was said to be too much. I don't know that this will be the case here, but I would't be surprised.

For anyone that wants a "new" 993tt, this is a steal if it's all original. I don't think a little paint matters unless you're a collector. I know of 3 under 16K miles cars here - all with cosmetic paint touch-ups. I wouldn't be fussed about suspension since it is only a $4,000 upgrade and isn't really necessary until the stock suspension is trashed. If you want a track *****, a high mileage beater or one that has the mods money already in it is a better buy.

The paint on these cars chips very easily. It doesn't have to be a track car to need a front respray. I looked at an 18k mile Turbo S and the buyer was on the fence about respraying the front of the car because of stone chips. It all depends on what kind of roads it's driven on.

Pardon my ignorance, but where is the trip meter on that speedo/odometer? Is it in the computer display in the tach?
