How much damage is done to it if it was not running? I would think all electric would be junk for sure. How much damage to the engine though? Does the crankcase usually flood, just he cylinders w open valves, turbo?

Assuming someone bought this example from the auction; how can it be titled in say Pa. ? I have been talking to a dealer in WA and CANADA this week regarding their high miles 993 TTs and both are around $50k. The $48k example has no implied warranty but the low $50k example has a short term drive train warranty.

This example looks like a better option. Just never bought a car before from an insurance company.

Thanks,
Patrick

I was thinking of keeping it forever. Just bid $20,200 (after becoming a Copart member) and Copart declines my bid as they claim I need a $200 Broker or have a License.

While sad... The bright side is that all of our cars become more of a rarity each time this tragedy happens.

But sad. Not meant to be crudely funny. I would cry like my child passed away. That's a shame. I just hope the insurance company took care of the owner as these cars value is so often misjudged.

Which leads to a good thread topic. What type of extra insurance coverages should we be keeping as our cars age gracefully???serious question guys. What is everyone packing in their glovebox these days?

If say one's insurance co. undervalued the car due to whatever reason (appreciation, age, etc) could an umbrella policy possibly pick it up?

Tempting to part it out - lots of components do not care if they got wet. To restore the car would need to be totally stripped and a LOT of work for sure, never mind the cost in parts.

Cheers
