How do the replica RUFF wheel weights compare to the real RUF wheels?
The offset for these wheels [Widebody]:
Front: 19” x 8.5” ET52
Rear: 19” x 11” ET52
The offset for these wheels [Narrowbody]:
Front: 19” x 8.5” ET52
Rear: 19” x 11” ET67
The weight of the wheels:
Front = 25.5lbs
Rear= 28-29lbs

Rear: 19” x 11” ET52

RUF wheels
My black RUF wheels will be for sale in a month or so once my car is 100% complete, but have to buy the RUF Turbo R to get em
I too agree these are one of the nicest looking wheels we see on Porsches,
Maybe the 18's had stamp of OZ but pretty sure the 19's do not... could be wrong...
They are strong, look amazing but heavy and many times require spacers... always trade offs!

IMHO the best RUF wheels are the forged types, they are stronger and lighter, they come in 19",with the right offset,so there is no need for spacers.,they are more expensive than the cast ones thou!.,Mick, the Turbo R could be ordered with 19" wheels from RUF as std. equipment, so nothing wrong to equip your car with these.

Verdict is in on the Ebay wheels

........And I think Ray from RoTec had the definitive comment.
Quoting Ray:
"The wheels in this auction are not real RUF. They're same as our wheels but with 10" rear wheels for Boxster. To proof, ask him to show you pics of RUF part number behind the spokes."
........So needless to say....looks like I'm going with RoTec. And if you don't mind posting a few last comments on these two set-ups I'm considering.
A. 315/25/19 rear & 255/30/19 front
B. 295/30/19 rear & 245/35/19 front
off the cuff, you would think the wide set-up is the more challenging choice and that's probably true, but only slightly (I think) b/c the 295's I worry may be too tall. Knight says he gets away with it b/c of the brand of tires (Hankook, and that's fine with me b/c with that 295 rear choice they are the least expensive option @ $900 for the four, the 315 rear choice set-up with Toyos are $1500). "Rufus" runs the wide set but I still fear that there may be something different about the Turbo R and the 993TT for clearance; even though I think Steve said suspensions are the same clearance-wise. Fenders same?
Sorry gents...I just don't wanna mess this up.
Which of these two set-ups have less of a potential to rub?
Anything else I could be missing/not considering? Anything overt? They both match up perfectly with each other at less than 1% diameter difference. What else am I not thinking of?
Rolling resistance? will a 315 make the car slower versus a 295? Or am I thinking waaaaay too much?
Thanks

Joe,
I would go with the recommendation from Ruf for the tire sizes listed below.
In your case with 8.5x19 and 11x19 wheels, this would be, 235/35/19 front & 295/30/19 rear
I am considering the same wheels and have found the Hankook V12 EVO tires are excellent. Let us know how it goes with the fitment

Steve, Toyos are over!!!
Toyo no longer makes em. If you know where I can get 2 of the 255/30/19 T1Rs let me know. Ironically, Tire Rack has the rears, you would think the rear would be the more difficult ones to find in that 315/25/19 size.
Toyo replaced with T1R with the T1R "sport" BUT they look nothing alike so mixing is out (no that we would mix anyway). And going forward toyo will make no longer make the 315/25/19s in any tire.
Once tire rack gets rid of what they have in the 315 T1Rs...its all over.
So if you know where to get em for the front, secure some for you then TELL ME where.
Thanks

Joe,
I got my Toyo T1R tires from "Treadepot.com" (888)421-8473. They shipped them directly to Custom Alignment in Mt View, where they were mounted and the car got a serious alignment. I can't say if they still have the tires available, and I'm sorry to hear that these are hard to come by. I must add, that the wide tires look really great, but it won't be a huge problem to step back to a slightly narrower, taller tire. Good luck and happy holidays.
