Default Wonky boost gauge

Recently, my stock boost gauge is reading 0.2 bars higher than it ever has. Idle is normally 0.0 and is now 0.2.

Anyone else have this happen? Is there a reset function?

Thanks.

it happens occasionally and will go back to zero at some point. not sure what the cause is but others have reported this and it seems to occur regularly on our cars.

Yup, common occurance. Reads 0.2 sometimes on start-up but goes away with minimal run time. Don't think it's actually running 0.2 high when warmed up and on boost. Threads on this seem to indicate it's a non-issue.

yup, get it as well, its irritating given you expect the car to be a piece of precision machinery.

you may also want to consider replacing the boost sensor.

My boost gauge hardly ever reads zero, but it is accurate under actual boost.

Pretty easy to get to, but expensive ($150) for what it is.

ran a mechanical boost gauge from the engine bay to the interior for testing.

I think everyone should own a British car or motorcycle from the '60s as their only form of transportation at some point in their life.
It gives you a wonderful perspective.
eg. slightly wonky boost gauge v. car catches on fire when you use the horn.

Yes automotive electrical theory in England states that electicity is actually smoke. If you see no smoke, your wiring is not leaking electricity.
