Is it the photo ?

That intercooler looks seriously retarded, the left hand side core looks 20% shorter than the right hand side

You would be doing your engine a favour by slinging that intercooler and reinstalling a factory unit.

Went back to this post of mine just now and surprise, surprise.
Everyone is an expert, right?
But,to each one his own I guess
The car runs and works perfectly fine with this intercooler...due to the Turbo S upgrade a bigger intercooler is not a bad idea anyway.
Let the critics/comments commence!

The aftermarket intercoolers with the 'v' centre section design and low fin count don't seem to work as well as stock in tests done by rennlisters. Yours do look a little different than the usual fvd/cargraphic ones in that the core one side looks shorter in the pic (where the ones mentioned above are the same size from side to side (just different endtanks))

Tb993tt has a lot of experience with the 993 twin if u check search button going years back. I would take his opinion as good advice not trying to sound like an expert. Beautiful car

Thanks for the advice,manouk.
In life there are many ways to give advice, some more easily accepted than others, based on the the way the advice was given.

Thanks ,Basal,
Are you going to make "production models" for sale to fellow R'listers of your I/C.
Sounds like your R&D has yielded some good results.

Don't want to swamp this post into one on intercoolers but need to offer a thought. I have built a few intercoolers in my day. Ones that fit the space available to ones that have specific tank dimensions with closely controlled core sizing. One thing to note about the intercooler on JB's TT is that both end cans dump into a common plenum. There will be a difference between pressure drop and temperature on either side but that is not an issue when it blends at the throttlebody. Kinda like separating your peas and carrots so they don't touch when on the plate but they still end up mixed at their final destination. Sure it is not an optimum unit but then it's current service factor does not require it to be.
Rick
