wow that looks fantastic! Who did the interior restoration?

That right there is what I would define as "full leahter". Wonderful . How did you come up with the white (FG?) pieces that you use to put the leather on? How did you get the rear shelf so smooth? Did you reuse the existing dash but cover the holes for the speaker and seat belts? Very nicely done.

V...those were hand shaped from foam. The OE rear deck was used as just a template and a new rear deck was done for the build. Part of the reason it looks so smooth is the OE Ferrari leather is ultra smooth.
I'm really glad we have this upholsterer on board. He'll be doing my SL65 wide body build because we are redoing the whole interior in Pagani leather (ext will get painted Palladium Silver)...
Ferrari Leather...(second sample in the pic)
Pagani Hyaura leather...

Some pics of door sills (forgive the fingerprints...it'll get detail shortly) and the seat backs...they are finishing up the floor mats right now. Those will be special too...

^I like those sections too, they are freakin' smart. Obviously not good for the weight conscious, but the way it smooths over the pedal box looks so fresh. I think they would even look good paint-matched to the color of the car, it would tie-in the seatbacks, and maybe even if the gauge pod was painted like some of the older cars it would look great. Lots of great moves with this car AMGfan, please continue sharing

I was just wondering what happened to this project the other day... Wow. Very nicely done Jon & very individual - I especially like the top stitching on the lower dash. Do you plan on installing a foot rest next to the clutch top keep from scuffing that leather?
Also, (just my $0.2) I think the silver centers on the LM's may clash with the polar silver... perhaps a graphite / steel grey would work. I like the look of my grey centered speedlines on my old C4S:

Nick...you read our minds. When I picked up the car at lunch we had the same conversation. Once the Fikse are put back together, we will make the switch and take the LM's apart and paint the centers Polar Silver...

Picked up the 993 today...man I love this car. Not only is great to look at...the sound (no mufflers), the gear changes, and the quickness of the Turbo is fantastic. Nothing like the GT-R which is stupid fast (60-130mph in 3.0sec/0-60 in 2.2sec)...this is just a sweet acceleration vs. frightening I just pissed and **** myself acceleration (GT-R).
It's finally in my garage...going to light a cigar up tonight and basically make love to it with some microfiber towels and quick detailer.
(Excuse the crappy pics...I'll be taking some on my DSL tonight and interviewing a photographer tomorrow for a possible photoshoot)
Pics outside C2Design...handing off the 997.1 TT Cab so they can finish the build on it...
Some detail pieces...the floor mats and a floor panel that hides part of the bare floor (left after we pulled the carpet).
More pics...by someone better with a camera than me soon...
