What can 60K get you regards to a 993TT...this car?
I have been casually looking at 993TT's, amazing cars..... I see some very highly priced and others more reasonable. What do you think the best year and mileaged car $60K can buy? Seems like I am 10%+ under the mark to get into a 97 year care with 35K-40K+ miles range (seen some sell in the 67-70K range) But more options in the 96 and under 50K miles range....
Everyone says be patient and thats OK, (not in a huge rush) but don't want to be patient and wait for something that simply wont happen. A few years back a 97 35k+ miles in the 60+K range seemed more possible...
anyone know this car, 96, 50K mile range and can be had I believe in the low 60K range.... just wish it had a bit fewer miles (assuming well cared for of course) and was a 97!
thoughts?

Here is another local car to me..... but think I like the one in NJ a bit better.

993TT prices are maintaining the value, if not going up over the last year or so. The trick is knowing when to pull the trigger, its often a hard decision to take or wait. However lots of times a rejection of a car comes from the PPI - they always look good in the ads, but the stories come out later.

I know Sean at Topgear, he's a Dealer, however he's obsessed with air-cooled like a lot of us, he has a revolving collection of personal cars. He bought two cars from me, sold one & kept the other (American Roadster), I would buy from him, no worries, he answers his phone always & negotiates on price.

Here is one with a little less miles (25,289), arena red with cashmere interior.

Looks a lot like my car.

I think that is a heck of a nice car and a pretty reasonable ask of $ 65 K - presumably...$ 61.5 - $ 62.0 sale...beautiful car. It won't last long I would think...as I found in my shopping that the right colour (that is not a odd green or brown or something) good condition and priced right sells in 72 hours - so if you like the car - pull the trigger on it. There are more 993tt buyers than cars out there and consider vendors of these cars are pretty sophisticated about the marque so don't expect to steal one. By the way, you won't gives a hoot if you think you overpaid a couple of grand if the stars are in allignment (conditon, history, PPI, location, spouse buy in, weekend away coming, high school reunion soon..) - I mean really, you'll forget about what you paid for the car by the time the ink dries on the cheque you write for it as you run an errand to the liquor store with the sunroof open...
P.S - It was reported a Guards Red on black sold for $ 60K (with 61000 miles on it as I recall) in one day by another poster last week......

Even that Polar Silver on black looks good too. I would seriously inquire on both cars.

Looks like a nice car with a good collection of pics to start with. I wouldn't worry about trying to get into a '97. I had originally planned to do the same but have never regretted buying a '96. I always recommend that you have a top notch body man or appraiser look the car over as well as having the very thorough PPI. Best of luck and let us know how you get on with this one.

Please take a look at my Arena Car in the classifieds and in this sections. I turned down $61 about 6 months ago, but would probably take that again if offered. My car has 46K miles on it and has perfect history, lots of nice upgrades etc.
