Smile Painted Intercooler Shroud

Hi guys
I just completed number one on my winter project list. Painted the intercooler shroud to match the exterior.

Nice.... The previous owner of my car did the same thing. It looks much nicer than the standard black.

Your car is black, so what color is your shroud?

The shroud is painted red. The colour is nice but the paint job could have been better on mine. Maybe next spring I will get it properly done.

Nice! Did you have a body shop do it? Does it require heat resistant paint?

Always use a body shop unless your really good, 1 quart (minimum), 1 hour at most. Don't wanna wind up with bubbles from a can job unless your car's had paintwork(lol), then you could use caliper paint maybe. Guards red is Porsche color.

turbo logo looks naff
Now my feelings have been hurt, how will I ever recover? That logo was actually a very important part of the process.

"naff"???? I think the logo is fine but I would have made it much smaller. Perhaps you could repaint it once a season so that gradually all of the members here would be satisfied at least for a brief period of time.
