993 TTS For Sale
After much debate I've decided to continue cleaning out my garage and the next step is to sell my 1997 993 Twin Turbo S. I thought that I would give the Rennlist community first opportunity at his car before taking it to a consignment store in the SF Bay Area.
The car is Pearl White/Rubicon Grey with 19,000 miles. I am the third owner and have maintenance records from the second owner as well as from myself. I do have a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche and a poor copy of the window sticker. All books, all tools and two keys are included.
I've added H&R coilovers (original struts and springs go with the car). The previous owner rebuilt the top end of the motor which I have all receipts for as well.
Asking $135,000. I can be contacted at lowry.stewart@gmail.com or 775-781-8165. The car is currently located in Marin County north of San Francisco.

This seems like a fair price for this rare car. I see that it has sport seats... a highly sought after option. Are the wheels still "hyper-silver"? This is the factory finish for the Turbo S... your pictures don't make that clear. Perhaps mention these points in your ad?

The wheels are painted the body color per the Porsche COA. Other optional equipment listed on that document includes "Racing Style Sport Seats-L/R (seat backs are painted Pearl White), Storage in Place of Rear Seats, Digital Sound Package, 5 open CD Holders in Console (they're tape cassette holders), Carbon/Leather Steering Wheel, Front Seat Hinges Covered in Leather, Front Floor Mats w/Porsche Lettering, Seat Stitching-Alternate Standard Colors, Deviated Dashboard Stitching, Deviating Center Console Stitching, Deviating Door storage Top Stitching, Exterior Color Pearl White Metallic." The poor copy I have of the window sticker includes under "Exclusive Options" painting the brake calipers silver.
I will try and take better photographs of the car tomorrow. I can email any of these documents if desired, unfortunately, the COA file size is too large to post here.

The second owner was my neighbor. He bought the car for his wife in early 1999. He had his own '96 TT and a CGT. She had the TTS. I know better than to suggest that someone other than myself made a mistake when shifting, but I have a suspicion....and absolutely no facts. Sorry.

Three Wheelin'
^^ Or it could be simply because PAG used material with the approximate hardness of chocolate to manufacture the valve guides. You certainly wouldn't be the first low milage car needing a top end because of this.

I should probably note that during the top end rebuild, per the receipts provided, the second owner increased the motor size to 3.8 liters using "GT2 Pistons and Cylinder Heads. the receipts also note a flash on the ECU to 3.8 spec's. Total cost of repair, in January of 2006 with 8,500 miles, $17,300.
