I emailed the seller this morning. Seller says it's a factory Special Ordered car sold new through Kuwait City Porsche just like you see it, Pearl White with Turbo S rear quarters.

Why would anyone order the Turbo S air scoops rather than buying a Turbo S beats me. That is like serving a really good domestic wine from the bottle of a prestigious Barolo.

In the middle east, the official importers usually spec cars in one of two ways. They have the base, which comes with minimal options and then they have something that's usually termed "full option". The "full option" cars are packed with tons of options. This car looks like a "full option" car because of the paint and the scoops. It also looks like it has wood and an interesting color on the interior.

I would say your analogy makes more sense for the C2S and C4S that were ordered with the aerokit.

I'm with Bergamasco. If you have the money to build all the options, why stop short???

The original purchaser could have disliked the S wing. There is no accounting for taste. I like this car; I would buy if it were convenient.

It's obvious the original orderer was not concerned with opinions. It's unusual. An apparent US spec car in the middle east??
