It enough to incite eternal rage. I had a similar thing happen in a garage in NYC. I left a '79 turbo at a park & lock place Friday morning, I came back in the afternoon to find only a couple peices of window glass on the ground, car was stolen. GONE. At least you still have a great car, the glass is easy to replace, the door and wing are also easy enough to fix or replace. I think Vincent Vega speaks for everyone here...

Just got back into town and opened up RL to see this... ughhh

I've lived here for 13 years and never heard of such thing happening. I usually don't take my turbo to the casinos but now I KNOW not to take it. I wish i could be of help with your needs but i havent' changed windshield yet or had any body work done on my car. I'm sure you know but Gaudin Porsche and Carl's Place would be the ones to contact for referral. good luck

Haven't read all of the responses, but DUDE, what a shame. I feel so bad for you. Nothing worse than that helpless feeling of not knowing who did it and no way of finding out. I had someone key my door several years ago and was fuming! I can't imagine how you felt.

Pick a VERY reputable paint shop to do the job right, and it will be better than when you bought it. Don't let it get you down, it can be fixed!

What an absolute nightmare. But on the the bright side , I am glad you got to open her up and enjoy the beautiful routes. I trust that you will have many more years of enjoyment with this car in the future.

Vegas.......crazy place, crazy people. Reminds me of the story from the GT3 board a while back except his car got torched.

Good luck getting your car back in shape.

Very sorry to hear this Chris. I live sort of in your neck of the woods and unfortunately don't have a recommendation for a shop for all this work that has to be done. The most I have had done body wise is a re-spray of my bumper at a local place. You could try calling Funktion Auto out in Sterling, VA.

Sorry to hear about your car ...

I, too, have Grundy's insurance...

They were cheaper than Haggerty's so I went with them.

How has the claim process been?

I have always wondered how the insurance companies handle a situation like this.

as you know, these car are not cheap to get repaired.

If you take your car to a local shop they could charge 5k to fix it.

But if you take your car to an expert they can charge 10k to repair it. How does Grundy’s handle the difference?

Do you get to decide? and will they cover the cost of going to an expert as opposed to a regular body shop?

also it seems that you might need the whole car painted to make the paint match... these days people can tell if a bumper was sprayed vs. a fender etc.

Good luck !

and get it all repaired toute suite!
One guy I know who does primo Porsche repair and paint is Eddie Palmer at Kundensport in Camarillo Ca his number is 805 732 4226 cell
Also a close friend is a shipper Chris Ridgeway delivers alot of Porsche Motorsport new vehicles and
many collectors nationwide lives in socal if available he can come out and get it in a day ,his number is 714 402 0129 ,tell him Bert gave you his number.
you also can email me at ecrobinson1726@msn.com , hope your trip isn't completely
destroyed your in Vegas after all...Bert

Soo sorry to hear about this...but at least it wasn't stolen from you!

+1000 for Mr. Palmer at Kundensport. And if the car needs any Mechanical work they have a pretty fantastic wrench named Mike Schatz that'll take care of your 993.

What sort of a bastard would even do this in the first place? Some sick ****'s out there. Sorry to hear this has happened, but like others have said, it can and will be sorted to better than new.
You and your TT with have a long life together.
Hard to believe this has happened.
