My new 993 TT in Vancouver, BC Canada
Well I've met and got to know quite well a number of great local Vancouver members either at the BBCs, p-car shows and even Mike J's last BBQ, who have all helped with my journey.
I've come from a 987 Boxster S, great car but it was time to move on after my appreciation for the 993 grew on!
I've wanted a 993 for many years, actually a 911 since the original Bad Boys movie (even though that was a 964 3.6 Turbo), that end car chase scene is still a true classic. 3 years ago I couldn't justify how much they were commanding on the market so I bought a newer model p-car, now I can truly understand what is so special about them and why they hold their value.
The real hunt (as I know we all probably lurk for quite some time before finally committing) only started late this summer after driving a few 993s. I was looking for a WB black/black (even NA). My fortunate luck a TT showed up locally meeting all my criterias and more, timing could not have been better.
Some of the specs:
- 1996 993 TT (black/black), Cdn car, 94K kms (58K miles) with numerous upgrades such as K24, reprogrammed ECU, lightened flywheel, new clutch/pressure plate, Billet diverter valves, PSS10s and a clean PPI to finalize the purchase.
I've got numerous things on the "to do list" which will come at a nice pace progression.
So I wanted to say a "hello" and of course, here are the pics.
Cheers!

Wow mate, that's an awesome looking car. Congrats on your new toy.
I also loved that movie, so i bought a 3.6. Have to say the TT is a better car, too.
As fond as I was of it, the TT just ticks all the boxes. But you already know that! Enjoy!

Black & lowered = very stealthy looking. Sounds like you savoured the journey - enjoy!
When you are ready to stretch its legs, come and visit us P-car owners in the interior - some great roads to be had. BTW, Audiolines in Burnaby does a nice job installing radar equip ( no affiliation).

Great, another 993 turbo that stays in Vancouver. I think I know the car and the previous owner, although his name escapes me at the moment. Pics at QE park? Looking very nice. Enjoy!
