Can 993tt windshield's rubber gasket ....
be change without breaking the glass or replacing the windshield? Have anyone change out their rubber gasket yet? My gasket look really old and worn. Brought my car to 2 different body shop and one said gasket and windshield is a one piece. Second shop said there a 50/50 chance that it might not be glued.
Thanks

Don't know answer to your question.
Have you tried:
1) Cleaning & condition the gasket with Aerospace 303? May make it look better
2) You could also try Black WOW http://www.detailersdomain.com/Black...ing_p_155.html

what exact "rubber" are we talking about?
If you mean just the rubber trim piece you can see with the car fully assembled, then yeah, that just peels off and can be replaced to your hearts content. The windshield has a plastic surround with a channel, and the rubber piece has a piece that friction fits into the channel.
To the best of my knowledge, the windshield is glued to the body. I'm not sure if there any other rubber trim pieces floating around in there.
Part number for the rubber trim is 993 541 925 00. Costs $37ish at pelican parts.

Apparently replacing the seal while still using the same glass does have a high risk of breakage, my guess is that the shops you talked to just didn't want to risk having to buy you a new windshield.

Here a pic..
This is the windshield's gasket I was talking about. Some how it shrunk and caved in. Every time I wash my car, water seem to goes in there. It really annoying to see it every time I get in my car. Can this be change without breaking the glass?
Thanks

yup, thats the one described in my post above.
replace it, just snaps in.
One thing to be be mindful of: This can stretch if when you push down to install you push forward too much. Push straight down. Also, I'd start in the middle of the wipers where there is the seam on the gasket.
