Default GT2 Tribute

This has been posted here by the seller, but looks like he's desperate to unload.

Clearly taking a huge loss on this project...

That looks like an amazing deal. Puts in perspective some other asking prices. A ton of work done for that price.

He's selling it to go racing. And that's all I know.

Yeah, but there would have to be A LOT wrong to justify the price in my opinion. I like it.

Price is good but not a steal IMO. There are no internal engine upgrades so it cannot be raced seriously, the bodywork is not Porsche or similar quality if I recall correctly, and not sure it is a car I would like to drive around town + it has not collectability per se which is why 993TT prices are where they are.

I would sell my 993GT2 conversion with a stock engine for that price anytime.

Still is a very nice DE car to have and I am sure fun to drive..

I know someone at protosport had their eye on that car for a while, wonder if he pulled the trigger.

These conversions will never sell for all that much. Takes a very special buyer due to the cars limited use. That being said some examples more special than others and at the end of the day there are tons of factors that determine what someone will pay.

These things are usually built by people out of a passion for the car and the hobby and the $$ value at the end of the day is probably low on the importance scale.

Thanks goodness i don't ever plan on selling mine! It will just get pushed into the back of the barn as the collection grows

^^ I think that sums things up pretty well; couldn't agree more.

Hello, since its me i guess ill chime in lol.

Spartan is correct built out of passion.

i enjoyed the crap out of it while i had it, never looked at it as an investment plus i bought it real cheap. Thought i would keep it forever but just doesnt work for me besides being garage art.
Have a bunch of other porsches and ive gotten heavy into racing and built a cayman for that. just figured it was time to move on to the next one, as ive got a sweet tooth for a 964 3.6 turbo or perhaps a low mileage bone stock 993tt. Guy in scottsdale bought it same day it went on, hes got the right idea as he wants something cool to show off at the his local sunday car gathering and occasional bar hop.

Great buy for the guy in Scottsdale. I saw this posting earlier tonight and was amazed at the price for a real ***** out GT2 tribute.

Cheers to you and the new owner!

The guy in Scottsdale actually just called me. He is looking for a set of our 993TT dump tubes. He said there was a set on the car, but now there is not. Do you know what happened to those?

I can make him a set, but it would take a few weeks due to our backlog. He did not sound like he wanted to wait...

I'm the guy in Scottsdale that bought it, Pete told me a lot of people had interest but no buyers, he immediately gained my trust & I bought it. Pete's a great guy and was great to work with, I'm probably gonna let him have my 96 993tt (blk/blk perf cond). I'll definitely show it off, but it will see the track after it cools off out here. Jeff at a place called Fast Forward used to work for Bob @ MODE INC, he's gonna fab up some pipes for me. I've had seven 993 twins & always wanted a build like this.
