Simple mods to increase HP?
I recently purchased MarkD black/black 993TT. The car has been setup nicely with a list of recent mods (see below) and overall the car is a beauty. (I'm biased). Other than some cosmetic mods (aluminum rings/red seat belts/GT3 seats anyday), the car is "done" for my liking. Love it!
....However...I love the boost I get around 3200 rpm.
It's addicting as you know.
My question, what is next in terms of increasing HP? Are there simple, lower cost changes I can have done to get significant gains. I do not plan to slide way down the slope, but have to ask what are the easiest, cheapest, painless options for starters....? Or should I RTFT?

Join you local PCA (if not already) and DE the car. Become a better driver. The Turbo, even in stock form, has much more potential, than us as a driver. Myself included.
I don't think there are "simple" ways to increase HP on our Turbos, for "lower costs". Not to mention how this effects reliability, when not done properly.
In other words, become a faster driver, first. You already have a fast car.

exhaust : by pass the mufllers and add 100 cell cat (meow).oops,.just noticed you have the 200 cell cat and fisterturbo muffler already.
other than that you could flash the ecu (contact Kevin at UMW) to increase boost.
what is a 2 spoke wheel and could you post pics...I am familiar with 3 spoke but not 2 spoke.

Tony,
My advice (odd coming from a guy with a highly modified Ruf Turb R)... leave it alone. They are great right out of the box, and modifying them is expensive and not all that rewarding. You have all the correct basic stuff done already. Enjoy.

I also agree that out of the box they are a handfull. Better driving skills would have to be the best option, especially in my case.
Not that I have any mod's, but they are really expensive if you are serious and I doubt you'd even use it in the real world.

Agreed Tony. But there is no substitute for more HP. It is addicting and everyone wants more. "out of they box"a fun. More HP is addicting.

Yes, very good advice all around. The HP is extremely addictive and it's only natural to want more.
What I read here is, marginal HP gains are expensive, with little return on investment. $$$ spent on
a DE or Autocross, learning how to get the most out of my stock HP/car are going to give me most bang for my buck.
Agreed! I will do that. I got a line on a Autocross event and I think I will take full advantage of it.

I think you will find turbos and autocross do not really go together - just as the boost hits there is another darn slow turn. Try a track day or two instead. I really don't think you can appreciate what these cars are capable of until you are on the track.

You should consider what it is that you want from the car and tailor the car to that use.
For track work, always go for tyres, suspension, training and experience first. There is far more to be gained from these "upgrades" in terms of lap times than from HP alone. Furthermore, it's quite cheap! 50HP exta might give you 1.5 seconds per minute of lap time. That's what you'll get from R-Comps or Hoosier tyres alone. Skill could give you 6 or more seconds per minute or lap time.
If all you want is to sink further back in the seat when you hit a freeway on ramp, or when overtaking on a freeway, or blasting off from a traffic light, then go for the HP. But don't expect it to come cheap. $6K to $10K might get you a bolt on 50-70 HP. Anything less than 50HP, and you won't feel it in your butt-o-meter!

As mentioned, first thing could be an ECU flash.
Then, upgraded turbos and a flash to accomodate this change. Probably also a couple of other things needed.
Result 50-70 hp gain.
