if i spent that kind of money on wheels it would take about 3 seconds for my wife to leave with the kids;

they are sweet though...

I'm sure you know already, but www.500espot.com/forums is an awesome resource. If you are serious, I know of another in Houston w/ 48k miles in awesome condition (I haven't seen it in person but others have vouched for it). Shoot me PM and i can give you the leads on the other ones I know of.

Dont challenge Nurburger with finding wheels. He'll win.

Fabulous car. I'm jealous

Great, thanks, now you have me looking for one for my wife.... :-)

Were there any specific trouble areas that you requested be examined during PPI for this vehicle? Do you anticipate any major electrical issues with a Benz this old?

Have you seen one with 18" AMG monoblocks? I am just wondering, as I'd need snow tires in winter, and not sure they're avail for 19's.

Thanks very much. Nice pics - great looking car!

I knew this car had been maintained at OCD levels, so pretty expected it to be perfect, and it was 99% clean. I did ask for a compression/leakdown, which it passed with flying colors. All of the usual issues were already addressed, like the wiring harnesses (which are a weak spot given that these engines run hot), AC evaporator, and a few other things. But properly maintained, the W124 is bulletproof and will run forever.

Quite a few have 18" monoblocks, and it looks great. I'm just a sucker for bigger wheels...

Thanks for the info - sounds like you made a solid purchase. Great car - has that old solid Benz look. Let us know if you find a good source for the monoblocks.
