FINAL RESULT (TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST FINAL RESULT):
I'm done. The deal is struck. I bought the car.
He STILL didn't agree to pay for the inspection or for shipping. So I could have walked, again.
I will arrange payment and have the car to my Porsche guy (John from Protosport) in NJ by next weeks end.
He will make the car perfect, or better....
It may be costing me a bit more then it should. But i don't think it's a LOT more then it should. I think I'm in the ballpark. Especially with brand new, fully warrantied Turbos, and brakes and clutch replaced within past 5k miles...
I'll give you an update when the car arrives as to how much it will finally cost me to make it perfect.
AND, this way I'll learn over the next 6-12 months if the 993tt works for me as a DD. At about 20K miles a year, i think 10 to 20K miles over the next 6 to 12 months will tell me if the 993 is for me, or if I should sell while still under 80K miles and go for a 996tt or 997tt.
I'm pretty sure I made the right choice...
Thank you, everyone, for all of your help and input during this process. I'm so excited I think I'm gonna puke (or however you say puke in German)!!!

Anyone interested in a dark grey exterior/light grey leather interior '07 Audi RS4 with 96K miles on it? Interior is really really nice and I will make the exterior as new before I sell it. Maintained meticulously and still drives amazing. Currently with moderate wear Blizzak's on the 19" rims. Needs summer tires.
Just curious... Wanna help me pay for my very very recently purchase 993tt downpayment???
:-)

Congrats on the car...I would suggest PowerTech for service, they are great and have been taking care of my car for the past 12 years.
This spring/summer, I might be selling my 96 TT as I have not driven it much in the past few years (only got 13k miles)

fantastic!!! i know the feeling of waiting for your car... it's not good. and even worse, it has to go to the shop for more maintenance as soon as it gets to you... so more waiting again, just like me!!!

congrats and welcome to the club!
enjoy the power...just make sure it is pointing straight when you put your foot down
and if you need to add oil, do it with engine running.

Thanks again everyone. So now I need new summer tires, and winter rims and tires.
Any suggestions for summers? I like Blizzak's for winters. Can I find 17" rims that look like the originals for my winter tires?
