I think I was first to offer that formula, and said at the time that it only works for low mile cars, and that there is a variation on it for high mile cars, but the variation requires a calculator for most people. Its interesting that that I offered that up as a reflection of the market over three years ago, at the peak of the bubble, and that the prices have not moved that much since then:

Finally got the new battery charged and the dust off to take a few more pictures. I also included the option code label under the hood. Just noticed when updating the pictures I have actually only driven the car 237 miles since January of 2007. I bought the car from an individual in Malibu who was selling the car for the second owner. The only modifications I am aware of are a H&R suspension upgrade, Techart exhaust upgrade, Tri spoke carbon fiber steering wheel and airbag, carbon fiber shifter and e brake handle. I have the original suspension, steering wheel and air bag. The car is flawless with the passenger and rear seats only sat on once since I have owned. The only work I have had done is a new battery, full inspection by local Porsche specialist, Pat Williams, bled the clutch accumulator from lack of use and replaced aftermarket ECU with OEM. Also had the front bumper painted after my old college roomate scuffed the lower chin when he came by to visit and I let him drive us to the store to grab some steaks.
That's everything I can honestly represent about the car. I have just over $93K in the car and after hearing the feedback think a reasonable price should be at or above $90K. If anyone has an interest at this price feel free to send me a pm. Otherwise I am going to let my local Porsche dealer sell for me on consignment next week.

The oil is and fuel shows 17 miles to empty. I did put fuel stabilizer in last winter. Never thought Mobil 1 could go bad. Is this something you would change?

It needs at least; fresh stabilized fuel, oil change, brake fluid flush, just to name a few items quickly.
GLWS!
Great color. for sure.

Asking the value of a 993TT in a 993TT forum to a bunch of guys (me included) that own them and drink the cool aid will not exactly yield real world answers. So here is my recent market experience selling my 17000 mile 993TT. I put it on Rennlist for 72K and had 1500 views with no offers. I put it on Ebay for one week (last week) for $74.5 got 2000 views 20 watchers and not one bid or even a stupid offer. Why? In this thread alone you have me, Spencer, and the original poster plus Sloan, RPM, Wilhoit with "collector" quality cars all for sale. This begs the question, are these cars truly rare? Next I have found that the current marketplace has zero appetite for 14 year old expensive cars. Lets be honest, outside the collector world they are just "old" cars. Now comes the hit of reality. If I was to offer the average person a 1996/7 993TT with sub 10000 miles or a 2004 Ferrari 360 spider same mileage for a swap of dollars we all know what 99.9% of the population would take. So I am still looking for that tiny part of the population that values these cars at a premuium. Plus my asking price is nowhere near any of the numbers mentioned on this thread. So if you want your car to sell it better have a 7 handle on it. Otherwise put it back in the garage and enjoy it.

I've already got one or I would. This car is and easy $95K in Canada but transaction costs would eat up all the margin on a flip......

993 TT are not collector cars in my mind, (too many)but 911 that you can enjoy for a while and sale later for good money

[QUOTE=ronnie993tt;7875673]that's exactly my point. We've all got excuses as to why we are not writing a $ 89K check at this exact moment........we've already got one, garage space limitations, transactions costs, liquidity issues on current car holdings, etc. Until someone actually writes a check on ANY car......guestimates are basically just BS.

Guys, I appreciate your brutally honest thoughts. At this point I think my best bet would be let my local dealer sell on consignment. I will give everyone the play by play to see if my experience is consistent with others in this thread.
Worst case is I will try again in the Spring. That gives me some time to actually enjoy the car for a change.
