Keadog - The difference in the car from Truspeed motors is all in the miles. Yes, three times the miles will make that big a difference in the actual selling price.

The rough rule of thumb used to be that the value of a TT was approximately 100k minus the miles.

Good to know. I guess that will help me, since I'll be looking for one to drive and sub 30K miles on a 15 year old car sounds OK to me, assuming all else is well. I once had an '88 911 turbo cab for five years and sold it with 8900 miles on it. I'll never do that again.

Nope. Promise. Plus, the 993s are too fun to drive to let them sit around, not "making" that much money. I learned a long time ago cars aren't an investment. The '88 turbo cab was a thrilling beast, but not all that much fun to drive, IMO. I have driven this NB '97 almost 2K miles already and I travel on business a lot, limiting my seat time.

I think service is a factor in value as well. I am always amazed at how many people forget that just because you have a car with 3,000 miles on it that does not mean all the service is up to date. I bought a 3,500 mile turbo a yr ago and it was cosmetically perfect like it was still sitting new in the showroom floor but I spent over 6k in service making it perfect as it had "sat" in a collection.

Great input from everyone. I'll be back home tomorrow and post updated pictures along with service and accessory information on Saturday. The price range of $80-$90k is about where I expected. That is in the low range of what I paid plus service work.
