I heartily recommend the 996TT oil feed side check valves AND the turbo sump return lines offered by Kevin. 6 years ago after a mechanic did an oil change (Mahle filters), I ended up with a lot of smoke and oil in the turbos, turbo hoses, and IC. The turbos were ruined and had to be replaced. I ended up replacing them with Kevin's hybrids, but only AFTER installing the 996 check valves on the oil supply side and the Andial P-trap return lines on the sump return side. I've since only used Porsche filters and have been careful to keep the oil level at or near the bottom mark on the dipstick. Knock on wood, no problems in the last 6 years. To me, this fix is a no-brainer and should be on every 993TT.

Delray, I probably have posted 20 times "not" to use the Mahle filters.
There is a sticky on top of this forum pages where it is written NOT to use the Mahle filter.
If you have them installed you will HAVE oil and smoking issues!

Any updates on 996TT oil feed side check valves AND the turbo sump return lines for the 993tt?. Are they still available?
