GUNS951, please post photos of your car. I need as many references as possible. I may do a full cage but not include the knee (under dash) cross bar and maybe not have the door bar either to make it safer for street use. I need pictures especially on carpet delete 993's.

Why a total carpet delete? A simple RS capet kit from appbiz can't weigh more than 10 lbs and you don't have to get the permanent glue for it. The 3m carpet adhesive comes right off with the 3m ahesive stripper unlike the stock stuff. Removing all the old glue prior to paint took me longer than my entire conversion!!

What Spartan has is super nice, but there is always that statement of "f*ck you, I don't even have carpet" that well i just like. Sure it weighs nothing, but to me, it takes away from the purpose feel.
Here's some of my cage's shots prior to the Harness bar being added, no good shots of it since. But mine is also not a GT2 clone so this is just one guy's way of doing it. Do remember, no carpet will be louder than without due to reverbs and echos without dampening.
Knee Bar
No door bars but very low compromise
Suspension tied in to rear X
Welded on non-sunroof, (actually the roof was from the shop owner's first 911 non-sunroof we cut up, so I kept it the original green that it was and sprayed around to blend it in)

Thanks for the photos of your cages. Funny how deciding to do a project (cage a car) is ALWAYS much more work than it sounds. I thought I just had to send it to a fabricator and then to the paint shop. Not quite that simple. Spartan sent me more information that I did not realize I needed to do.
Now I will be selling my leather interior pieces since I dont want to cut them up and use some old vinyl parts I has laying around. Whats a fair price to ask for a leather dash, under dash center console?

^^ Very cool solution, and it doesn't have to be done by RUF. TB993tt had this done to his car by a UK body shop and posted pix here, I think the year before last. Getting pix from RUF might be difficult, since the option seems to have disappeared from their 993 catalog, even on the German site.
