I just had a leak down test on my car (15K miles). All cylinders were between 1.5 & 2 %.

Wisdom seems that 5% and under is well within tolerances on these cars. 34K on mine and range was 3 to 5%

i just had a leakdown on a 993 turbo..it was done cold instead of hot which apparently skews the results, car has 28k miles. Results were 16%, 16%,17%,16%,16%,17%....i asked a porsche specialist and they said not to be concerned with the outright numbers given it was a cold leakdown but instead to focus on the % differences and 1% diff was very good. Any thgts on that view given the individual cylinders read so high or is that what you'd expect from cold vs hot leakdown?

Drivelikeyoustoleit> you have some good leakdown numbers..

Shrek, you have horrid numbers.. Most likely you are looking at a topend overhaul. With that much loss you will have turbocharger leakage issues from the possible blowbye. You cannot do a leakdown HOT on these engines.. Most are done cold..

What is the average cost of top end overhaul for 993 TTs. Sorry if this may have been discussed before but I would like to know the numbers before I jump into the aircool TT world. Thanks.
