Fantastic car, worth every cent and then some. Unfortunately, it's on the top end of the market price wise with relatively high miles and a ton of great mods. Either lower the price substantially or just hold out for the long haul, eventually the right buyer will come along. The other option would be to simply trade it in on the new car, you'll get raped, but the car will be gone and you'll be in that cobra.

The price has been lowered to 68K. The owner was hoping to keep it and the Cobra he bought but that isn't going to happen. It's been hiding from the wife, he was supposed to sell it before the Cobra was bought

No not the wife, she would let him keep it. Laura owns the shop that built the car and has been hiding it for him.
The motor is built from the original 3.6L case. We installed the larger bore Mahle pistons and cylinders for an increase in displacement to 3.8L. The Porsche cylinder heads were sent to AASCO Performance(run by the Aase brothers) to match the new cylinder bore, machine for twin plug ignition, and a valve job.
Here is our description of the build from the original invoice:
Engine rebuild complete, 3.8l twin plug conversion
Included disassembly, cleaning, inspection, reassembly. Replace main bearings, rod bearing, counter shaft bearings, all gaskets and seals, piston and cylinders, rings, chains, belts. Replace hoses as necessary. Disassemble, clean, inspect cylinder heads, replace valve guides, grind valve seats, upgrade exhaust valves to 9mm, install new valves using titanium retainers and lap in valves. Install new valve stem seals and re assemble heads. Bore case for 3.8L cylinders and o-rings. Remachine rods, backdate cam drive to pin-lock type sprockets. Install 993 euro hyd RS grind cams. Set cam timing to 1.80mm. Reassemble.
Twin Plug Ignition
Machine heads for second spark plug hole. Fabricate heat shields. Reroute fresh air duct. Reconfigure wiring for second coil. Install new ignition wire set. Install new valve covers. Install new caps, rotors, and distributor. Install new ignition coils, covers, modules.
ECU Modification done by Todd at Protomotive to these specs:
3.8L twin plug
Twin k24 turbos
Hydraulic euro RS cams
Lightweight flywheel

Paint entire car, install clear bra.
Replace all brake pads and rotors with Genuine Porsche components.
Replace windshield with new.

The total bill of this invoice was over $41k.
Approximately 2k miles previous to the engine build (at 74k miles) the following work was performed:
Replaced viscous drive assembly in front portion of transmission.
Install turbo oil return line check valves.
Install modified throttle body
Install new motor mounts
Align and corner balance Pss9 suspension system
