My point in telling you what the Dupont Registry ad claimed and what the original seller (not the dealer that sold you the car) told me is to point out that it is not at all clear the original seller was 100% truthful. He claimed only that the fenders were replaced--he never indicated the car was totaled even when I asked him why the insurance company would total a car for relatively minor damage. Hence, it is reasonable to believe that he told the dealer the same story. I have no idea who is at fault here, but I would not presume that the dealer is the only party at fault here.

What price did you pay for the vehicle?

Agreed. In fact, if a CARFAX was run prior and it didn't show a salvage listing, but was proved wrong later and it should have had a salvage title, then CARFAX would be the one buying the car back from you! (They offer a buyback guarantee)

P.S. THEN THE SELLING DEALER MADE AROUND $50K ON YOU BY NOT BEING TRUTHFUL...

CarFax won't do a thing for the OP, since he did not order one prior to purchase, in his name.

Here is an old (July) post about this exact car.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...pa-design.html

I know this car was also discussed last year, but can't find the old post(s). Did anyone find it?

Default salvaged 993 tt

its good that we have that link with his asking price it is proof for 1 of the many lies he has told me. In trying to create a paper trail defense for himself he sent me an email yesterday claiming to have told me about some accident histroy (which he clearly did not) and his proof was thats why he had the car for sale in the 80k range and sold it to me in the 80k range as opposed to closer to 100k which a no accident car would be worth. I reminded him his asking price was 95k but he denied it. Nice to see we have that link as a reminder. I could fill a book with his lies

No offense, but that is why you do a PPI on a used car and with that low of miles I would have questioned if it was a garage queen. 2,600 miles is VERY low

yes I wish I did a carfax and a ppi instead I took the word of a big shot dealer that acts like a mogul. me trusting him is not a crime but taking a salvaged car and selling it without disclosure is.

Sorry to hear the news. The dealer should have disclosed the salvage title. Since you purchased it in July - when did you learn of the news?

Default salvaged urbo

I learned at the end of last week. Dealer is either always too busy to take my call or sending me an email with a new lie.
