If you use a leaf blower, you will potentially draw in small debris through the intake and what ever debris you pick up will come shooting out the other end with enough force to potentially cause paint damage, trust me, it happen to me about 5 years ago. Since then, I purchased Metro Air force blaster, which blows warm "pre-filter" air, works like a charm.

Black-Decker-NS118-Cordless-Blower
Lower velocity air action and portable, very slim chance of picking up debris, could add filter to inlet if really concerned, but bugs at +150MPH spin dry cycle will be a bigger worry

MF towels for the remaining water.
YMMV.

Warning !!
The only time i took it thru a automatic car wash, it took the tire valve stem off. It caused a slow leak and I found out a few miles down the road on THE FREEWAY!!
NEVER TAKE IT THROUGH AUTO CAR WASH

Why not just run a stream of Palmolive dish soap on your Swiffer and use that? Done in 2 minutes quick and easy.

Pick up a furnace filter at HD or Lowes, etc, and using gaffer / race tape, cover the inlet area on the blower with a portion of the furnace filter. But again, the air velocity of an 18V leaf blower isn't enough to make it a must have DIY. The chance of picking up debris are slim, but not none.
More caution is needed to make sure the tip of the leaf blower stays a safe distance away from the car body. Adding some soft foam around the outlet port (DIY see above) may be the first mod to make just in case.
Most useful for removing water around running lights, door frames, engine grill, etc. before using MF to final dry in hard to reach spots.
YMMV, and the peanut gallery may take exception to this technique

The wheels are too damn wide...how do you guys fit the car in that "track" of the autowash? I used to take my 06 E46 M3 thru it, but the 305's on my 997.s definitely would not fit

I would suggest you refrain from the autowash except for dire circumstances
went through once and ended up with 18" scrapes on rear rim lip which car
wash owner came out and denied any wrong doing..."oh you had those already"
