Andial Owns
Just got back from the track and had a great session with a Ferrari Challenge Stradale and a Lamborghini Murcielago. They fought hard, but I got them eventually. In their defense, I've got a ton more experience at Thunder Hill than they do. Sure was a hoot!

The factory CD player is the most technical thing in my car, so no video. I did have a fresh set of Toyo 888 tires that worked great, even in the 105° heat!

Your car obviously makes good power but what kind of suspension set up do you have that allows you to stay ahead of CSs in the corners?

Nice driving, but you're too modest, unless Michael Schumacher was driving the Challenge Stradale the Andial 3.8 will pretty much dominate.
Your post got me to thinking, about the only out of the box car that will best the 3.8 is the Viper ACR or a Scud on Slicks.

I believe that was the motor set up Hans Stuck won the Super Car Series in 92'.
Andial concieved of a way to keep it on boost without any lag which killed the
Lotus's 180 R's. I drove the car and it had unbelievable response. The Lotus team couldn't protest as they were running about 20 lbs of boost!

I must be missing something. Did the Andial 3.8L cars have some magic suspension set up? I don't doubt that they are fast on the straights but hanging with a Viper ACR or Scud on slicks in the corners.....ummmmmm

I've got the Ruf PSS-9 set up and 996tt hollow spokes with 235 and 315 Toyo R888 tires. The StopTech big brakes with Pagid yellows help too. The Ferrari had me marginally in the corners, but his line was a bit sloppy. I more than made up for it on the straights and T Hill has a fair number of those.

For comparison a Viper ACR will run 1:29's stock (massive downforce) An Andial 3.8 with Bilstein and full interior will run 1:28's. Most of the 3.8's had the M030 suspension. I ran 1:30's with the M030. Blackie has seen 1:27 in Cort Wagners hands.

I'm a bit skeptical regarding the performance of the Stradale. As other have mentioned, and you know, the Stradale has a big advantage in the corners. It's 500lbs lighter than your 993 Andial TT, it has huge ceramic near zero-fade brakes, it has a better weight distribution with almost neutral slide and hardly any oversteer, and you can't compete with its F1 shifting. Your PSS9 suspension will help, and if you're good at heel and toe, you'll get good launch out of the corners, but the Stradale should be ahead of you. On the straight, its a different matter of course with your huge torque advantage, but the straight has to be long enough for the Andial tweeking to pay dividends because the value-added doesn't come on until 4000 rpms +. And if the Stradale is at all modified -- and most arn't -- then I think the gap in straight line performance would vanish as well.
I haven't raced my Stradale on a track with my modified 993TT, but I can say my track days in the Stradale are much more solid than in my 993TT and I doubt very much I could overtake the Stradale. FYI my 993TT is modified to Ruf TurboR specs (by another outfit), producing 490HP, has PSS10, and a short shift. My Stradale has Hyperflow cats and weight saving battery, resulting in about 30 more HP and 40lbs weight reduction.
Finally, and as you know, driving skills are No. 1 in the equation. Stradale owners tend to be pretty spirited so I'd expect him/her to be on the throttle but, then again, they could be relatively inexperienced. And you sound as though you've got some solid driving skills. So, perhaps, a more capable driver in the Stradale, not necessarily Schumi himself, would put on a better show.
And then, there's the tires .... and then... Anyway, many thanks for the post, fun reading and thinking about it.
