Default I need a bit more noise.

I love my TT in every way but some noise, just a little would be quite good.
Whats the best way to get some without having to sleep with the dog when she finds out?
Mufflers are the obvious choice but I am inside and don't really care what it sounds like outside. It would be nice to hear something.
I realise the turbo's act like mufflers, sound wise but are there any mods that would do the job without requiring a 17th mortgage?
Thanks

I have a spare set of used Fabspeed bypass pipes I'll let you have for $100 plus shipping. That's what I paid for them and they're just collecting dust in my basement. They look very good, better than the ones on my car in fact, but they are used. I've never shipped anything to NZ, but I'm willing to give it a try for a fellow RL member.
I love mine. I have to put my mufflers back on every two years to pass the emissions test (they are LOUD when not under load) and I can't wait to get the bypass pipes back on. They make a very noticable performance improvement in my opinion. All of my neighbors comment (politely?) about the sound of my car, so you may want to consider another route if you go to work at 5:30am like me.

Grab them! Could be the best $100 you've spent in your life.

BTW, I am happy to wait and see if 993MAN wants 'em first (since it was his post), but just couldn't resist the trigger-happy reply as I have been beat out on RL goods for sale many times.

Certainly is. New cost $550.

On Fabspeed's site, the bypass' tips appear to be a new design.
Here's the previous tips:

Dave,
Wow......that's a generous offer for bypasses! You know what they say, "A day late..." Anyone else out there have used bypasses in good condition?

On my last car I had cat bypasses and TechFX mufflers. The sound was superb, but the lack of cats was a pain come smog time.

When I got Andi, I had the mufflers off and hidden from the wife's eyes and the muffler bypasses on in about 17 minutes. (Practice makes perfect).

The only one who noticed was my daughter who complained it was still too quiet.
