That's an incredibly rare and fascinating car.
Start off with an Ocean Blue (great color) 1998 Targa with the only midnight blue/cashmere interior I've ever seen, and add a Ruf BTR conversion with just the right amount of Ruf bits (gauges, pedals) and subtle OEM body parts. The car was for sale not too long ago on the Seattle-Tacoma Craigslist.

That is a cool car. I want those Ruf gauges and door sills!
The tail looks strange to me with the way the targa roof line ends. Is it just me? Never seen a Targa with a tail.
I hope this seller gets the asking price!

I have dealt with Park Place before. Seemed like nice people to me. I have not bought a car from them, but they did lend a Cayman for no charge and no questions to our company for a promotion.

price is dictated by amount of pieces added to regular porsche. Much lower price than a ruf vin numbered car. many conversions done each year, only about 25-30 ruf numbered cars built by ruf each year.

Wonder how many US version RUF Germany factory conversions. Much larger number I am sure. Then you add the RUF Dallas conversions and the many others like Steve's (I need to find those conversion pics again - great story). Hmmm, got me thinking.
