My understanding via Todd @ protomotive is the 993TT Ruf package had "nothing special" 16/24, ecu and cams...and I'm guessing the "cams" are Carrera grind as mentioned above....whatever that's supposed to mean....Carrera what?....3.2? Carrera 2?

LAT, that picture doesn't mean crap'ola.. The compressor housing you posted pictures of is used on standard K16 and K24 turbochargers. I can build a turbocharger with all K16 parts and the housing "casting" will say "24" on it. To correctly see what your turbocharger is one has to measure the wheel diameters in two places. Hot side and cold side. The turbocharger will have to have the housings removed on both ends. It is the machine work and tolerances that set each builder and tuner apart. Put another way, the critical compression area on the compressor stage is not visable. You have to place the compressor wheel in the compressor housing and depth mic (measure) the height.

There are shops that are relabeling turbochargers with K24 tags and no one is the wiser.

LA965RS; I understand them to be 3.2 cams and nothing special

Kevin: easy does it, I am just trying to learn about turbos okay.

Same cams as 3.2??? I've never heard a stock 3.2 have anywhere near the Harley Davidson cam sound and cadence as my Turbo R cams. I don't think this statement is accurate.

LAT, the numbers on yours look the same as the numbers on one of mine (left one in the picture), it seams they have different numbers for the left and right hand turbos? Some of the other markings are diffefrent too, kkk in the triangle on yours and a large K in the triangle on mine. I suppose this is what Kevin is on about with there being different castings?
