You can't use word "easy" at all when speaking of this ultimate 911 mod. It is really the most PITA mod ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
There are also few significant problems in that:
A) Only company who sells - or actually sold - this 911 special windscreen is DP motorsport. Now you can't buy any glass from them anymore. They just don't sell them. They sell them only for customers who has bought it before and it is already installed by them. They have only few spare glasses. I tried to buy another one because I broke mine by accident.. another story..
B) You can't buy that glass even from its original manufacturer: Saint Gobain.
I have been contacted with them and prayed spare glass from them but they don't have these anymore and they don't even have a mold for that. They said they have made these glasses over 10 years ago and that batch went to only one customer, DP..
C) That is so big mod that even DP don't start it anymore even if you have money a lot.
Because I broke that glass I had serious problems in my project as I wrote
but I managed to solve this problems with local windscreen factory. They took my broken glass and made a mold from that. But there was also a positive effect in this case: I could say that I want "a tuned lightweight version" from that special glass. Namely, original DP/Saint Gobain version was very heavy, structure was 3+3 mm, mine is now LW 2+2 mm (mm=millimeter). And I also got nice sun protection film between glasses which originally didn't have.
And the best of all, I got that rare mold for myself ($$$
) and I can now produce these glasses myself with fraction of cost what DP asks from they. And mine are better, lighter and more stylish. So if you are really interested in that mod..
