Can't cars over 20 or 25 years of age be brought into the US from overseas that are not USA Specification and without having to go through rigorous modification? I would have to ask my local reps on station but this has always been something possible for us folks working overseas if i remember correctly.

Jochen, fantastic ride. I'm sure if i were to get a ride in it or saw it on the street i wouldn't have the slightest clue it was a ground up build to replicate a GT2.

My first GT2 experience occurred coming back from Frankfurt airport in 2002 and having one blast past me on the autobahn as i neared the Nuerburgring exit. It looked so mean in my mirrors and then screamed by me just bellowing it's deep notes from the throaty exhaust...ahhh to see these in action is simply stunning.

Jochen, have you seen the "Barn Find" thread in the 993 forum? You might find it interesting.

Drool. Amazing! The blue on those fenders reminds me of my entire car!

Any chance we can hear more about that engine?

Thumbs up

Jochen-- Again (for your 2nd exotic 993 in this thread now): CONGRATULATIONS! Can you share more shots from that photo shoot? Looks like she has some rare & pristine company.

Will author Sam Smith be back on the case soon for another Rohr-based 993 feature? Speaking of which -- did you ever get back with them for a drive of your beautiful GT2?

PS You've motivated me in my own 993 project. Although mine may not compare on many levels to your recent restoration achievements (especially in the engine compartment), please see my nod of appreciation on the "Rennlist/ PCA member's 993 SPEEDSTER" thread.

Default engine pic

I will take pics of the car this weekend outside. In the meantime a good shot of the engine on the lift. 624 hp, over 800Nm...will shake it down soon at Infineon.

Porschemeister: beautiful job and good luck racing. your car deserves a separate thread with more details on the build. Was the garage Andial's?

Porschemeister, Will you be attending the Historic Races at Laguna Seca in August? If so I'll definitely be there hopefully to see your Car(s) and hopefully get to meet you.
