I drove the silver one for another rennlister. Needs shocks was the only thing I noticed.

Then again, my 97 needed them too. Figure ten years plus it's time to change them. Plus the oem's sucked from what I hear.

The prices seem good for the mileage.

Both cars look good and fairly priced imo.

Cobalt. Yikes! What happened? Care to elaborate?

Cesar. What was the story on the silver/black? Accident history? Repaint?
BTW, did you manage to take a peek at the black/black?

WHBP. TTS. That's what I am worried about. The prices
are too "good" for the cars to be totally clean. Been almost
taken for a ride a couple of times now...

I think the prics is about right, a 97 silver car with 24k miles and 30k svc (done by the dealer), no stories went for around 74k recently from a dealer.

I know the black one has been sitting there for a long time... I saw it there about 4 months ago at least, and they were asking $87k for it then... I told the salesman that their asking price was "a bit aggressive" (at least $10k or so), but he commented on how rare they are... I had to chuckle at that response!

I think that there are very few people looking to by a 10 year old car for $75K in today's economic environment. I know that most of us here can, but we are the exception to the rule. Dealers, especially new car dealers have an audience all there own. I wonder if they would have some resistance from lending institutions these days on financing a car like this?

I stopped by and had a look. They look to be pretty good deals. The silver one looks to need a prepping, but should be okay. The black looked better, but I am biased against polar silver and in favor of black.

Don't know the details of the cars, but, at least superficially , they look to be good deals with 20k miles at 75k.

No problem. To be honest, when I saw the black car, my initial thought was "I am going to buy that car." Fortunately, it was a Sunday. If I didn't already have 2 black 911s, I'd be serious, though.

At 20k miles, and what looks to be good condition, 75k at a Porsche dealer is very unusual. I haven't seen the carfax or any of the records, but I bet that they are okay, and that this car will sell now. I think that they just lowered it from 80 to 75, and based on this thread, looks like it was 87k before that.

If one of my cars were stolen tomorrow, I'd go have a PPI done on the black car.

I don't know the full story on the silver one.

Salesman said it belonged to an elderly man that wasn't driving it anymore. Apparently his "driver" is the guy who brought the car down to Paul Miller.
