Ruf conversions with Porsche VIN vs Ruf VIN has been argued so many times and most likely will be continued to be argued.....

You can technically have a Ruf Car with Ruf VIN with less conversion than a Ruf Car with a Porsche VIN.

Probably the premium would be dependent to the extent of the conversion.....

38D,

Yes, this has been oft debated, and is not on subject for this thread. But as long as its on the table, were you aware that in many states and some countries its almost impossible to get a Ruf Vin car registered? OK, back to the topic of this Ruf Turbo R conversion.

One of those being Canada, where Weissach was the authorized RUF dealer and performed various complete RUF conversions but could not allocate a RUF VIN due to Transport Canada's laws. So long as it's well pedigreed and documented, non RUF VIN cars fair as well as RUF VIN cars, at least the ones built by Weissach here in Vancouver. Right, back to topic...

For that kind of money,I would like a Real low mileage Twin Turbo. You could get a real nice one and have money to spare.
I like the fact that a TT comes stock, pretty well loaded up.
Litronic Headlights,
Full Leather
On board computer
LSD
ABD
This C4S is still a 65,000 mile car and needs suspension
No offense Bill,I think is you can get 60 k you will be lucky
just my opinion,of coarse

I didn't know Weissach was in VC. I'll be there on business next week and may sneak down for a visit

I think you're correct... I remember buying some parts a few years ago and it was a closed out sale as they were closing down.

For less money, 72K I picked up a 33K mile 993TT with an RS Tuning engine including tranny cooler which is comparable to this car in both performance and prestige. My is a US spec car that was Euro delivered and then modified before being shipped over. It came with all papers including original selling dealer invoice.

I feel that conversions are just that and it appears the market agrees.

I think it had to do with Ruf revamping their dealer network.

If you look on the Ruf website, there's no dealers, only partners.

Auction expiring in less than 12 hours. Still 2 offers. Nothing's changed in days.

It makes little difference what the seller paid for the car (he acted fast and got a GREAT deal), and he has every right to sell it for full value.

+1. Had to add in my .02. Steve is right. Not his fault he got a good deal and took advantage of it. Price is high though.
