Hey Grant!

Nope - I am too busy at work - and I need to fix the brake issue first..... as well as figure out how to pay for it... So work is the safer option for me right now!

Will be going to the Track Corp Day in September though - not Lukes day as I will land in Sydney on the same day - the Track Corp day is the next day - Thurs 27th IIRC .... Hopefully car will be done by then?

How is the rego going? Or are you going to jump ship and buy a Gt3?

Looks like I will be going with a similar set up - Will report back.
Coffee sounds good - I have a caffine addiction to maintain
Let me know when you will be up

Hi,

just a stupid comment:

Are you still using the standard rubber breaklines? They give a spongy feeling on the track.
If yes, then change to the racing - teflon-metallic breaklines!

That's good comment. I got a metallic breaklines with that brake kit but haven't change them yet. I just testfitted that new wheel gives enough space to that bigger caliber.

Jussi
Thanks for the pics - that is the 362mm disc right ?

I have also been looking at the movit ceramics but hard to justfiy cost when the stockers are so effective..... Could you possibly stick both sets on the scales and tell us weights of stock disc+caliper vs movit ceramic disc + 6pot ?

The disc is 370mm diameter. These brakes are the biggest you can fit inside 18 inch wheels. Just 2-3 millimeters space between wheel and Caliber..

What comes to weights.. Calibers are 0.5 kg (5-5.5) hevier than stock
but the disc is 3 kg (9-6) lighter than stock even it is 370mm compared to stock 322mm. So netto is 2.5 kg off from rolling weight per corner...

And these brakes don't need effective cooling - they don't have heat problems. So I can minimize front spoiler's cooling ducts and thus minimize Cd

yes, I know, there are much more cost effective ways to lighten your car than these $$$$$ brakes but I have used them all already

Thanks for the info - 2.5kg per corner saving AND the massive extra stopping power is very tempting - although ~16K euro is mucho wonger

I have just front upgraded carbon brakes, no money for whole set, so price is under half of that.. but maybe someday when I grow up ..

I remember that Jean calculated clutch effective weight (inertia) in somewhere else topic but can he or somebody else estimate what these 2.5kg + 2.5kg do for acceleration?
