Default 18 inch wheel and 15 inch rotor

Does anyone know if any 18 inch wheels will fit over a 15 inch brake rotor and Brembo monoblock caliper on a 993tt?

Have you tried mounting 15" tires directly on the rotors?

I'm assuming you meant 18" tires.

Damm I wasted my '993' post for this.

The 15", 380mm brakes will fit under 18" wheels PROVIDED the centers are designed to clear the calipers. For instance, the BBS Racing Mag rear wheel on a GT2/RSR race car will not fit over the front brake calipers, the calipers hit the spokes. However, the BBS Racing Mag front wheel on a GT2/RSR race car will fit over the calipers because the offset of the center is designed to clear the brake calipers.

Ahah!
Thanks Geoffrey. Since my rear rotors and calipers will be 993 RS, that is to say stock sizes, that should not be a problem.
Any idea where I should look for these?

BBS USA 770-967-9574 ext 3029. The centers you want are the new aluminum version of the 8039 and 8051 mag style wheels. Be sure to tell them what brakes you have on the car. I should also say that the 380mm endurance brakes have thick calipers because the pad material is about 25mm thick. If you are using a standard 996tt caliper, a standard wheel may be Ok, I don't know since I haven't tried that combination.

My Stoptech calipers have less than .25" clearance from the inside of the 996tt rims, not the spokes, with 14" rotors. Are the Brembo calipers that different? Another question for Scott, are you sure you have 15" rotors? Most Andial conversions used 14" Brembos in front.

Andie "only" has big brakes 14s.

I'm a gonna have enourmous brakes in the next next week or so.

You know my mottos:

"If enough is good and more is better then too much should just about be right."

and

"S'all about the bling."

My current RUF wheels are 19X8 and 19X10. There is a poor tyre selection for thoses. I'm open to ideas though.
